Improving Site Investigation
Improving the quality of the site investigations performed and the reports submitted to states is a constant concern. Back in 2005, NEWMOA developed brochures and conducted workshops focused on improving the quality of site investigations performed by consultants. NEWMOA also held two one-day workshops. In 2023, NEWMOA worked on updating the brochures and conducting another workshop.

Site Investigation Matters – state specific brochures developed for responsible parties and their representatives emphasizing the importance of site investigation to a project’s bottom line and hiring a good consultant that will do quality work.
Improving Site Investigation (2005 Version) – Details the four C’s of successful site investigations: comprehensive planning, collection of sufficient data, clear reporting, and compliance with state requirements.
