Brownfields ProjectNEWMOA performs research and serves as a forum for information sharing and training on brownfields and other voluntary site cleanup topics. The Association's Brownfields Workgroup facilitates various information sharing efforts. In particular, the Workgroup organizes annual states/EPA meetings where state and EPA program staff discuss important brownfields and voluntary site cleanup program implementation issues. The Brownfields Workgroup also selects priority topics for several training workshops each year. Once the topics have been chosen, NEWMOA staff develops the agenda, identifies technical presenters, and handles logistics and publicity. Generally, each day long workshop is held at two locations to maximize attendance. Workshops are usually open to local, state, tribal, and federal regulators, as well as consultants and others. Past workshops have covered vapor intrusion, chlorinated solvent sites, and greener cleanups, among other topics. Please visit the Events page to access the agenda and presentations from these workshops. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
