Materials Management 101: Waste Characterization Studies
February 24 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Waste Characterization Studies
For years, state environmental agencies have been using waste characterization studies to better understand the waste stream in their state. The results of these studies can be a powerful tool to drive policy priorities and legislative action. Also, recent EPA funding has allowed states who haven’t historically funded waste characterization studies to conduct them for the first time.
What is a waste characterization study? What do they tell us? How do they get all that data? Why is it an important tool for states? How are they used? Join us as a leading expert and seasoned state agency officials explain waste characterization studies and provide real world policy stemming from the results.
