Regional Workshop on Chemicals in Commerce: Using Data on High Production Volume (HPV) Chemicals

Presented by the NEWMOA and EPA’s Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics

Workshop Goals:

  • Educate stakeholders about the EPA High Production Volume (HPV) Challenge Program, as well as other sources of chemical toxicity & environmental information
  • Share experiences about the use of HPV chemicals data
  • Develop ideas on how agencies and programs in New England can use this data

Workshop Topics:

  • Training on sources of publicly available HPV chemical toxicity & environmental data, including EPA’s HPV information system
  • Data applications
  • Data research and analysis
  • Interpretation of data
  • Use of chemical toxicity data for green chemistry
  • International HPV chemical data efforts
