Maine and Vermont conducted site investigations to understand the prevelance of poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the environment at locations where drinking water was impacted above health advisories or standards.

Kerri Malinowski, ME DEP presented on the investigation of PFAS in the environment and its impact on a dairy farm, including the cycle of reintroduction from hay grown on a field to the milk and manure of cows fed the hay and back onto the field through fertilization with the manure.
