PFAS Destruction: Two More Technologies (webinar)
August 31, 2023 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
1:30 to 3:00 PM (eastern)
Both presenters focused on their experience at real-world client facilities and presented analytical treatment results. They also shared information about situations their technology is particularly suited for and also the limitations.
Note: This webinar was presented for informational purposes. The views expressed do not necessarily reflect those of each of the NEWMOA-member states, and the strategies and technologies discussed should not be considered an endorsement by NEWMOA or its members.
Phil Farina, Clear Creek Systems presented on the commercially available AMEOX® technology that uses advanced oxidation fluid to destroy PFAS adsorbed within “exhausted” granular activated carbon (GAC) systems. The AMEOX® system is on a mobile platform that can be brought to a treatment facility to facilitate on-site revitalization of spent GAC in a closed-loop batch process. The AMEOX® system can be used on GAC at drinking water treatment facilities.
Julie Bliss Mullen, Aclarity Water presented about their commercially available on-site system which utilizes patented electrochemical destruction. Aclarity’s solution can destroy PFAS in liquid media and can treat landfill leachate without pretreatment. The system can also be used for industrial process water, municipal wastewater, and potable water.
