Today’s webinar is on Flow Control for solid waste. Flow control laws dictate that any waste generated in a geographical area has to go to a certain place. Since local governments are responsible for ensuring that waste is managed through an effective and reliable system, in some cases flow control may be needed to achieve that goal. On the other hand, we have the Interstate Commerce Clause that requires a level playing field for commerce, which includes waste disposal. This webinar will investigate the history of flow control, cover the landmark cases in New York and New Jersey that have set the stage, and provide a case study from Delaware.
