This three-day event will take place from April 14 – 16\, 2026\, at the DCU Center in Worcester\, MA. \nThe conference aims to: \n\nProvide a platform to ensure that local\, state\, and federal actions addressing PFAS contamination are informed by the most current and reliable scientific research.\nFoster networking and information-sharing among key stakeholders engaged in PFAS-related work.\nIdentify critical gaps in science and policy to guide future research and initiatives.\n\nThe program will feature a plenary session\, concurrent breakout sessions\, poster presentations\, and an exhibit area. DESCRIPTION:Visit Official Event Website\nCall for Presentations [PDF]\nSave the Date and Call for Sponsors [PDF]\nThe Northeast Waste Management Officials’ Association (NEWMOA) and the University of Connecticut Technical Assistance to Brownfields Program (UConn TAB)\, in partnership with the U.S. EPA Region 1 Brownfields Program\, and regional tribal and state brownfields programs\, are excited to announce the third biennial Brownfields Summit taking place December 9–10\, 2026\, at the Newport Marriott in Newport\, RI. \nCleaning up and redeveloping brownfields strengthens local economies\, supports job creation\, revitalizes existing infrastructure\, and improves community and environmental health. The 2026 Brownfields Summit will provide a regional forum for learning\, collaboration\, and connection around these important issues. \nThe goals of the Summit are to:\n– Share information about financial incentives\, liability protections\, technical resources\, and other assistance available for brownfields development\n– Promote best practices and lessons learned across tribes\, states\, and communities\n– Create opportunities for networking and information exchange among key stakeholder \nThe two-day program will feature plenary and breakout sessions\, an exhibit area\, and a networking reception on the first evening.
