SUMMARY:PCBs in Building Products: Implications for Brownfields
DESCRIPTION:The webinar included the following presentations: \nSteve Zemba\, Sanborn Head & Associates [PDF] provided an overview of products that might contain PCBs and then discuss PCB exposure that can result from the slow off-gassing from building products. Using case study examples\, he discussed the nature of PCBs found in indoor air and implications for health risks. Information from his talk may assist site managers with risk communication regarding PCB exposure in indoor environments. \nCraig Miner\, Weston & Sampson [PDF] presented an overview of applicable regulations and then use real world examples to demonstrate how to develop an effective assessment plan for demolition versus renovation projects\, and how PCB Bulk Product Waste and PCB Remediation Waste designations affect project design and remediation.
