| Project Description |
The VT DEC Environmental Assistance Office held an environmental workshop for marinas on April 10, 2009 with 13 marinas in attendance. Topics covered included: stormwater multi-sector general permit with a sample Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan and template, overview of hazardous materials and waste management issues, and overview of Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan requirements. Marinas were also given information on Vermont's newly developed Clean Marinas initiative that is part of the Vermont Business Environmental Partnership. The Environmental Assistance Office will be providing direct compliance assistance to marinas during this boating season and hopes to work with several facilities interested in designation as a Clean Marina. |
