Dry Cleaner Trainings

Organization(s) Toxics Use Reduction Institute
Project Description TURI, the MA Office of Technical Assistance, and MassDEP hosted three training sessions in the spring 2009 for dry cleaners that will potentially be brought under the TURA program due to the recent listing of perchloroethylene as a Higher Hazard Substance (HHS). The trainings were designed to teach the cleaners about the TURA program and what their reporting and planning requirements could be if they trigger the TURA thresholds. Additional trainings will be held as the July 2010 reporting and 2012 planning deadlines approach.
