Massachusetts Representatives and Senators joined MA TURI in presenting the 2008 Champions of Toxics Use Reduction Awards in June 2008. The following honorees are outstanding leaders that have reduced toxic chemical use in Massachusetts through innovation and outreach:
Industry Honorees - Rose Perkins (Toxics Use Reduction Planner) and Rohm and Haas Electronics Materials, Marlborough Gentex Optics, Dudley Silver Hanger Cleaners, Bellingham
Community Honorees - Cape Cod Cooperative Extension, Barnstable Worcester Youth Center ECOprojects, Lynn Town of Townsend, Conservation Commission Townsend Organic Lawn Care Demonstration Site Vietnamese American Initiative for Development, Inc., (Viet-AID), Dorchester |
