Project Description |
In October 2004, DEC and the Vermont Small Business Development Center conducted five workshops around the state for conditionally exempt hazardous waste generators. There were 89 attendees at these workshops, which have become an annual event to assist small generators in understanding regulations and linking with assistance resources for pollution prevention and compliance assistance.
In September 2005, VT DEC and the Vermont Small Business Development Center (VT SBDC) conducted their annual series of workshops in Rutland, Springfield, Waterbury, Williston, and Newport. Topics covered include regulatory compliance, pollution prevention, and assistance resources.
VT DEC and the Vermont Small Business Development Center are sponsoring three environmental workshops in September 2007 for conditionally exempt hazardous waste generators in Williston (Sept. 12), Rutland (Sept. 20), and Randolph Center (Sept. 27). These workshops are held on a regular basis each year and have been popular with smaller businesses and municipalities. |
