| Project Description |
In October 2005, TURI awarded grants to several communities for the following projects:
-The Town of Westford Water Department is raising public awareness of the effects of pesticides on human health and water resources.
-The Regional Environmental Council in Worcester is educating self-employed workers and janitors on safer cleaning products and techniques.
-The Center for Healthy Homes and Neighborhoods at Boston University's School of Public Health is training public housing residents, managers, and contractors on safer ways to reduce the use of pesticides to control pests. |
