| Project Description |
To educate the public on some of the issues associated with mercury-added products and the work of NEWMOA's Interstate Mercury Education and Reduction Clearinghouse (IMERC), in 2002 the Association worked with a company that produces short videos that are aired on public broadcasting stations around the country. The program is part of the American Environmental Review series. The five-minute video is now being broadcast and there is a web link to it on the NEWMOA website. It provides an overview of the environmental problems associated with mercury and what the states in the region are doing to address mercury-containing products in waste. |
