New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation
|
| Project Description |
Legislation passed in 2000 created the Green Building Tax Credit Program. This program provides tax credits to building owners and tenants of eligible buildings and tenant spaces that meet certain "green" standards for energy efficiency, appliances, indoor air quality, use of recycled and sustainable materials, renewable energy, refrigerants, water conservation, as well as others that reduce the environmental impacts of larger commercial and residential buildings. New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) is drafting revisions to the program. The tax credit is only available to facilities that go beyond requirements in the NYS Building Code. |
