To help TRI/TURA filers prepare for the deadline of July 1, 2002, OTA participated in the numerous TRI/TURA Reporting workshops hosted by EPA and MA DEP throughout the state. Staff presented on the TURA reporting requirements for the newly designated persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic (PBT) chemical - lead and lead compounds. Included in the handouts that accom-panied the presentation was the new "Reporting Lead and Lead Compounds" fact sheet, developed to help TURA filers get a brief overview of the requirements and gives examples of calculations for determining threshold amounts. This new fact sheet is available for download on OTA's web site: www.mass.gov/ota. |
