| Project Description |
On November 16 and 17, 2004, the DEP celebrated America Recycles Day by holding a Techno Trash Swap and Collection at the Agency's main office. The event was sponsored by the P2 Office and assisted by volunteers from the P2 Workgroup and Recycling staff. Employees were asked to bring in unwanted or unusable VHS tapes, CDs, DVDs, audio tapes, and diskettes from work or home for a free swap or recycling. DEP collected over 150 pounds of material in three pre-paid containers. Green Disk supplied the collection containers at a cost of $90, which covered shipping and processing. Green Disk recycles or reuses the materials. |
