EPA Regions 1, 2, and 3 and NEWMOA co-sponsored a two and a half day conference for federal facilities, and state and local government agencies on "Greening the Government". The conference was held on June 4, 5 and 6, 2003 at the Sheraton Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia. The Sheraton Rittenhouse boasts the first "Green Seal of Approval" given to a hotel by the environmental organization Green Seal. Building on various federal Executive Orders related to P2 and waste minimization, this conference provided a forum for learning about programs, tools, and successful case studies on improving the environmental performance of government facilities. |
