Organization(s) Vermont Dept. of Environmental Conservation
Project Description DEC and other assistance providers are collaborating on a joint project to provide assistance to the granite industry in Barre, Vermont in areas of manufacturing process improvements, energy efficiency, environmental compliance, and pollution prevention. Two facilities will receive comprehensive on-site assessments and reviews in these areas. It is hoped that the findings in this study will serve the industry and its 35 members as a whole in finding ways to remain competitive. Other partners in the project include Efficiency Vermont, Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center, Vermont Small Business Development Center, and Vermont Department of Economic Development.
