Activities and Projects Search

Two options are available for searching the Pollution Prevention Projects Database:

• Perform a full-text search of all Project Descriptions. (help)
• Search by keywords using the lists below. (help)

Full-Text Searching
To find projects with descriptions containing a single word, or variations on that word, enter just the word. For example, entering "environment" finds descriptions containing "environment", "environments", "environmental", etc.

To find projects with descriptions containing any of a set of words, enter the words separated by commas, or by the word "or". For example, entering either "environment, agriculture" or "environment or agriculture" finds descriptions containing either "environment" or "agriculture".

To find projects with descriptions containing multiple words, enter the words separated by "and". For example, entering "chemical reaction" finds descriptions containing both "chemical" and "reaction".

Searching by Keyword
To select more than one keyword in any category, hold down the <Ctrl> key while clicking on the additional keyword(s).

If you select more than one keyword in a category, the search will return projects that have been categorized by any one of your keyword selections. For example, selecting both "Metal Recovery" and "Solvent Recovery" under Processes will find projects that are list either Metal Recovery or Solvent Recovery as Processes.

If you select keywords in more than one category, the search will return projects that match your criteria in all of your categories. For example, selecting "Metal Recovery" under Processes and "Auto Body" and "Military Facilities" under Industrial Sectors will find projects that list Metal Recovery under Processes and that also list either Auto Body or Military facilities under Industrial Sectors.
