Ongoing Projects

Brownfields - NEWMOA's Brownfields Workgroup holds annual meetings between the New England state brownfields programs and the EPA Region 1 Brownfields Team to discuss programmatic issues. The Brownfields project is also focused on developing brochures illustrating the need to preserve federal funding to support the state Brownfield and other voluntary site cleanup programs.

Waste Site Cleanup Training - NEWMOA's Waste Site Cleanup Training Workgroup sponsors waste site cleanup workshops and webinars. Most of these training opportunities are open to the consulting community and others.

Contaminated Soils Management - NEWMOA's Contaminated Soils Management Workgroup is addressing management of excess soils with marginal contamination generated during construction, utility, brownfields, and waste site cleanup projects.
