EPA REACH IT - http://www.epareachit.org This website contains excellent information and searching capabilities to help determine innovative site characterization and remediation technologies that might be appropriate for a given situation. The site combines the information from three established EPA databases: Vendor Information System for Innovative Treatment Technologies (VISITT), Vendor Field Analytical and Characterization Technologies System (Vendor FACTS), and Innovative Treatment Technologies (ITT).
EPA CLU-IN - http://www.clu-in.org This is a master website containing links to hundreds of websites relating to waste site cleanup. For instance, you can link to the FRTR and REACH IT websites described above from serveral areas of CLU-IN. CLU-IN is a good place to visit to keep up-to-date. Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council (ITRC) - http://www.itrcweb.org ITRC is a state-led coalition working together with industry and stakeholders to achieve regulatory acceptance of beneficial environmental technologies. The website offers information on trainings, documents, and conferences regarding a wide variety of technologies, contaminants of concern, and regulatory issues. EPA ETV - http://www.epa.gov/etv This website contains information about EPA's ETV program including all verification reports issued and technologies currently under evaluation. Knowing which technologies and vendors have completed the rigorous verification process can be helpful. Detailed evaluation reports and summaries can be downloaded. You can subscribe to ETVoice, an electronic newsletter from this website.
Federal Remediation Technology Roundtable (FRTR) - http://www.frtr.gov This website contains excellent information on all types of site characterization and remediation technologies. The FRTR is a cooperative effort of the Departments of Defense, Energy, Interior; NASA; and EPA.
